Mission Statement for Project Based Learning

The mission of this Project Based Learning classroom is to provide a learning environment that is constructivist in its teaching and learning approach. Each child is an individual; therefore, all children are creative in their own way and all children need to succeed.
This classroom seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. The classroom created also promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment for the students. Each student's self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved on our students' learning. A final quest of this classroom is to provide foundations in academics that will enable our students to become life-long learners and problem solvers.
